This is a picture of me (on the left) and my sister, Cassie Beasley. Cassie is the New York Times bestselling author (!!!) of Circus Mirandus and Tumble and Blue.

I’m crying in this picture because I was really really really thirsty, and my parents gave Cassie the drink first, which was cruel.

They gave me the drink eventually. I probably forgave them.

Cassie is my best friend and my biggest fan and my first reader. She critiques everything I write, and I do the same for her. Honestly, I don’t know how people write without New York Times bestselling sisters.
